  Might be a great store and might have been happy with my purchase. Instead, we stood at the counter for 5 minutes waiting to give them some money while the associates behind the counter had a nice long chat with each other. We left without making a purchase. It's easier to order online or from a different retailer if your not getting any help.

  They deserve 0 stars. The associates here are pure garbage. I waited in line 10 minutes, when I was 1st in line. The associate was chit chatting with an off-the-clock associate and gave me a rude look when I got into line. When I finally got to the register I was trying to do an exchange without a receipt. I was exchanging for the same product just one shade lighter. They gave me hell as if I was a criminal. She refused to accept the exchange without a receipt and called a manager to assist me further. I had to argue with that manager for 15minutes to do the right thing --- all I wanted to do was an exchange for the exact same product in one shade lighter. Took 30 minutes. The manager even tried to tell me I would be given a "credit" of the lowest price it was within the last 30 days (big fat scamming lie). The regular retail price was $36.00, she tried to only give me a credit of $16.00 claiming that somewhere the price went down to $16. Total BS lie. There was 0% chance that was true. Beware of this place, seriously!!! Think about it, if I was some sort of scammer it would make sense if (1.) i would have wanted cash back (2.) i would have wanted a gift card to buy something else (3.) Wanted to exchange for a completely different product (if lets say i found the make up on the floor outside and never really bought it from Sephora), or even (4.) wanted to exchange for a color 4+ shades darker/lighter (if lets say, again, i randomly found the foundation outside and never really purchased it myself) --- but none of those are the case. I just didnt have my receipt. There was still 80% more of the makeup in the jar so not like I was trying to take advantage of them. Just realized the shade of foundation was too dark and simply needed one shade lighter. Every single associate here as of January 2018 should be fired and JCP/Sephora should start a whole new training system to train associates with common sense and a good customer service philosophy. I will never again shop at this Sehpora nor JCPenney. It leaves me with a bad taste for this company all around. I am going to shop at ULTA from now on.
