I would never recommend this company and never buy carpet from them, nor support this company in any way. Please feel free to contact me for more information. We originally purchased this brand of carpet on 12/27. One of the major reasons we picked Demar was, it was "in stock, and would be delivered on time" Carpet was to be installed 1/8. On 1/8 we received a call stating it was going to be delayed due to not having the correct size in stock and would need to be ordered. The carpet needed to be cut into sections, to avoid seems and the parts in stock did not fit the proper sizing. Two week delay. At this point, we accepted the delay as things happen. I understand why it was delayed, but it would have been nice to have a little more notice. We adjusted other projects and made it work. 1/25 rolls around and we get another notice that carpet is again delayed. At this point, we are now put into a position where we must double pay for houses. Again, no notice, no warning. I called and spoke to Chuck. I requested that i be compensated for now two delays, no communication, and poor service. I was asking for a 10% refund, which compared to what I was now forced to pay because of the delays is substantially less. Honestly, had Chuck said, "sorry" and "i can't do %10, but I can do 5% or 2%" I would have been happy and felt like he considered the situation I was forced into, but instead Chuck tried to spin it - to where Demar was doing me a service by not sending the wrong carpet size and how they had "gifted" me and additional 30sqft of carpet. Somehow, two delays, no communication and he was now doing me a favor? Needless to say I canceled my order completely, and requested a full refund. Luckily there are enough carpet companies out there to where I am not forced to spend my money on brands that offer poor business practices. I caution anyone using Demar to highly interview the company. I certainly would not take their word that the product you want is “instock”. I am lucky to not have their brand in my home, I can’t imagine trying to resolve an issue had the carpet been installed, then having some type of problem with it.
